Baby diabetes and venous stasis ulcer can turn into a life threatening situation at times. The most challenging part is that the baby cannot tell you when it is sick. If the parents try to treat vomiting or flu with the earlier prescribed or commonly available medicines, they might involuntarily overlook the possibilities of baby diabetes. Unlike grown up kids, babies are entirely dependent on the parents for their survival. Since the baby lack the ability to convey its ailments in a comprehensive way, the parents shouldn’t take any chance with its health and do diabetic wound therapy. Even if it is correctly diagnosed, unflinching dedication is instrumental in keeping the blood sugar in place and aiding the baby in living a healthier life.
There are three common types of diabetes – type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. A forth type of diabetes can be caused by some genetic disorders or rare medical conditions. But this is not a prevalent type of diabetes. Baby diabetes usually falls under the type 1 category. Half of the people affected by type 1 diabetes are children. Therefore, it is also known as Juvenile diabetes. The appalling fact is that the symptoms will be displayed only after the diabetes has severely affected the body, preventing an early detection. Most of the victims of baby diabetes and venous stasis ulcer need to take insulin injections several times a day.
One of the studies conducted to cure diabetes was the one set up by the Yoga Biomedical Trust, founded in 1982 by biochemist Dr Robin Monro, and an Indian yoga research foundation which discovered that practicing yoga for 30 minutes a day and wound cleansing for one month helped reduce blood glucose levels in some diabetics.
The yoga patients took part in one or two 90-minute sessions a week and were asked to practice at home. The classes included the specific yoga exercises of the spinal twist, the bow and abdominal breathing.
At the end of the 12 weeks blood sugar levels fell significantly in all patients in the group and were slightly raised in a control group which had not joined in the yoga sessions. Three yoga students managed to reduce their medication, including one man who had not changed his drug regime for 20 years.
While it is not yet clear why this happens, a number of explanations have bee proposed about venous stasis ulcer. These include; an infection with a specific bacteria or a virus can make this happen, exposure to chemical toxins from food or even exposure to cow’s milk as an infant has also been shown to trigger the autoimmune reaction in the body.
Type 2 diabetes cause occurs when the receptors on body cells that normally respond to insulin fail to be stimulated, a reaction called insulin resistance. When this occurs, the body produces more insulin eventually resulting in over-production and the insulin-manufacturing cells fail. Alternatively, this type of diabetes can develop when there is simply not enough insulin or when the insulin that is available is abnormal and therefore does not work.
